Male Banana Hatched

Things are going great here. Tons of work but hey I don’t need sleep or rest right?? My phone rings off the hook and when I am not doing snake work or talking to friends and customers I am spending time with Alexis, my 19 month old daughter. She is a blessing that is for sure. Her first word was ssssnake! I love it.

Well I just had seven clutches hatch out over the weekend and it went very well. First off I got a ton of Calico’s and some Pastel Calico’s so that is real cool. I have never hatched them out before. It is crazy that they hatch out looking like normals with a pink hue on their side. Way different than hatching out Banana’s. Speaking of that I did something that I have been wanting to do for the last two months. I produced a MALE BANANA! Oh crap I know. I bred my Will Slough line Banana male to a Pinstripe female and got two Pinstripe males a Banana Pinstripe female and a regular Banana female and a Banana male. I guess this puts to rest the rumor that males only produce females.

I don’t know how it happened or why it hasn’t happened sooner but hey it can happen and that is the main thing. Very exciting news. Now what would the price of a male Banana run? I think $65,000 is in order considering there are not anymore out there. It has been a good week that is for sure!
