Banana Mojave’s and stuff going on!

Posted: July 3rd, 2011 | News

Here is a picture of two Banana Mojave’s that I have produced this year.   They are growing strong and look great.   My wife really loves this combo.  I am having a pretty good year so far.  I hatched out two Champagne het Lavender het Ghost males already.   I can’t wait to get one of them to breeding size this year and try for a Lavender Champagne.   I also hatched out 1.2 double het’s in the clutch.  I think I am going to hang onto them.

I have hatched a Desert Spinner male.  He looks amazing.  I am going to keep him and breed him to some Pastels next year hopefully.   One of the first questions I get asked by anyone anymore is do you think that Desert females are bad.   I don’t know.   I haven’t grown one up yet so I am not a expert on them.   I know what everyone else does.   That they seem to have problems with getting eggs out of Desert females.   I don’t know anything more on the subject.   Sorry I just wanted to clear that up.

I survived the surgery although just barely and Gretchen really had to step up to the plate and work hard on the snakes.   It was good for her.  It is hard for me not to be able to work on my animals as I have been doing this since 2003 and it is just part of my life’s routine now.   Also I want to know what is going on with all of my animals.  It really helps me succeed.

My incubator is still pretty packed and I expecting more clutches so that is awesome.  I hatched out seven clutches two weeks ago and that was a lot of fun.  Hatching babies rocks and I love seeing them come out of the egg.  Sometimes I don’t get good odds like the 6 egg normal clutch that is hatching right now.  But oh well.  Bad odds does happen.   Chris is going to come over next week and we are going to do a comparison shoot on the Coral Glows and Banana’s.  It should be a ton of fun.   Chris is a great guy and he is really a Jedi with a camera!

I have a ton of more clutches hatching out in the end of July and the first of August.   I have some Lesser Clowns and Banana’s that I need to hatch out to fill some orders.  So thanks for all the business people!
